Where I jumped in

This was my first real construction project in my career, I started as an assistant site manager, which meant I was a construction worker most of the time. Over the course of this 4 year project I worked my way up to Site Manager and managed my first small projects within this project with the help of great mentors.

Challenges

This project was located on the side of a mountain, in an earthquake zone, in the middle of nowhere. This made it difficult to order materials quickly and a generally difficult place to work.

Added Value

On this site I got my boots and hands dirty. I slept on site during the week and travelled home at weekends. It taught me how beautiful construction and the people who work in it can be. This is the site that started it all, it made me fall in love with construction.
